Program Objectives

Upon successful completion of the 650 Hour Massage Therapy Program, graduates will be able to:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Swedish massage techniques
  • Apply anatomical and physiological knowledge to massage therapy practice
  • Perform safe and effective therapeutic massage
  • Demonstrate proper body mechanics and self-care techniques
  • Communicate effectively with clients using appropriate medical terminology
  • Conduct professional client assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Apply ethical principles and maintain professional boundaries
  • Understand and comply with Tennessee massage therapy laws and regulations
  • Demonstrate business and marketing skills necessary for professional practice
  • Integrate adjunct therapies and modalities into massage practice

Career Preparation

Our program prepares graduates to:

  • Pass the MBLEx (Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination)
  • Obtain Tennessee state licensure as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)
  • Work in various professional settings including:
    • Private practice
    • Medical offices
    • Spas and wellness centers
    • Sports facilities
    • Corporate wellness programs

Program Length

  • Duration: 36 weeks
  • Total Hours: 650 clock hours
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday (day or evening classes available)
  • Clinical Hours: 50 hours of supervised intern clinic practice
